So I just go in touch with The GMPP devision and they informed me that they do not even have an ETA on when it will be released. Could be good news that they have at least heard of it? Could be bad news that perhaps they have scrapped the idea? I was told to keep calling back. Grr GM.

To the people who bitch about the size, content etc.. of this thread... WHY VISIT IT THEN? If you've already decided to move on to an aftermarket TUNE, then good on ya! Leave those of us who've chosen to keep our warrantys intact and go with a factory tune to our own druthers...

Either the guys are closet pro-GM tune, are worried about the GM tune being a better value, or have that kind of fascination when you know you shouldn't look but you do anyway.

Am I the only fool who is okay with the kit taking longer?

The longer the work on it the better. We could've just gotten the same kit as the rest of the LNFs. But we're getting something different (better?). Plus GM wants to take down the FWD record at the 'ring again (wouldn't that make the cobalt faster than the Camaro?).

Oh well, wait and see, any news this week is good news.

I only have 1500 miles on the car. A few more months is fine with me.

I can't say I'm anxious to put money into a vehicle, that's bleeding value like the SS/TC is. It would be awful hard to recoup that money if another delivery truck slams into me -- and totals the sucker this time.

That said, in a year... If the kit is out, and the response is positive, I'd consider it.

Um, you can't consider the SS/TC with a stage kit around the Ring. The ring times are based on stock production vehicles and the stage kit is not stock.

Wow, sounds like you and I were parted at birth with luck of the TC. I had one for 3 weeks and some woman fell asleep at the wheel and totaled my parked TC. I could have killed her!

I got hit by a soccer ball at 40 mph and put a dent in my hood. I haven't made my first payment yet. I screamed like a bitch when it hit. Won't be too much to fix.

If the stage kit is not released by July 10th, I will be getting a tune. Thats ample time for a deadline right?

He meant the Cobalt SS w/ stage kit will be faster than Cobalt SS w/o stage kit around the track and might also beat the Camaro SS time around the 'ring.

And a Camaro SS with more power will beat a cobalt. Keep the cycle going.

It would be pretty sweet if they came out with a power kit for the SS. Not because its hard to do so, but just because its always fun when a company encourages the production of more power.

The M6 SS w/ a cam and a tune should be a rediculous beast for not much $$.
