Where is the GM stage kit?
There is no more secrecy here than to what the limit is to the amount of toppings you can put on your Subway sub without getting charged extra.
It's just that if I tell you that the LNF Upgrade Kit for the Cobalt comes with 5 widgets and only 4 widgets are needed and released then everyone is going to go crazy about how GM dropped the ball about getting the other widget and then X performance company will come out with the widget that has louvers over your laminova cores and does absolutley nothing and they charge you $100 for it and at the end of the day you'll just be more pissed at GM for not making the widget in the first place and you end up thinking that you have to buy a stupid product from some dumb company in Canada to make up for it.
See, isn't it just simpler for me to just say be patient and I'll let you know when you can know EXACTLY what to expect and when to expect it?

I just got this email from my local GM dealer....
"General Motors is advising that the Stage Kit for the 2008 Cobalt should be available sometime in late May.
If you are still interested in purchasing the Stage Kit, Email us at the end of May and we can check on the availability for you again."

"All while having saved over $2,000 more dollars on the MSRP of our Cobalt SS versus the GTI that we can use to strap on tons more go fast goodies from GM Performance Parts like the upcoming LNF Upgrade Kit that will give the Cobalt SS an increase of over 30hp and 80lb.-ft or torque. Stay tuned to GMTunerSource.com for all the latest info on that upgrade also."
Not to add to this long thread, but just saw this and it sounds like an official confirmation to me

yeah sorry i was vague.. yeah sometime late May or June of this year is when the kit should be available, but who knows...I know at the time i had my ss/sc us ss/sc guys went through the same thing of rumors when the kit would be out. My buddy works for the local chevy dealer and i pretty much cool with the parts guy too...They haven't let me down yet with info. The parts guy also did tell me to ask him early June to check into it. Soooo i'm assuming the kit will be out June.

I'm really impressed that Chevy can't get a 4 part kit together for years. just watch: the kit becomes available just months before the model goes into obsolescence. I wonder why GM gets their ass kicked so bad in the marketplace. I think I am changing my mind about buying one. ridiculous. even with billions of $ of my tax money.... (I think they should be forced to spend the obama money on developing the kit first, before they spend it on anything else
) lol

yah this is the best reason not to buy one.........................and if you have billions in tax dollars to spend, I'm sure you could afford one?
tuner seems to know exactly whats going on....I would expect to have to wait 4 to 5ish weeks from now.....and whammy.......

We thought it would be 4 or 5 weeks out about 2 months ago.
