CED is a great vendor. They treat us well. I'm sure there will be a pretty good savings over buying it from the dealer

I'm getting really worried about the dealer using my cobalt as a test vehicle for the Stage Kit. Not sure what to think about it. I guess just buy it when it comes out and take the risk.

I just wonder what type of quantity CED will get with their first batch of stage kits. I bet it won't be close to enough.

soooooo, now that the learn down feature is negated , what is the ceiling on the mod to result power I wonder?
Will the car just keep advancing timing whenever another part is added due to efficiency?

i.e. I get the tune with the intake blah blah , total what GM offers. Then later I add a downpipe, then the car learns that the dp is there and advances power. Later I decide to add IC piping; does the ecu keep adjusting? then headers, then whatever after whatever....

i seen a white ss/tc coupe going to jacksonville wednesday at like 6. oncoming lane. I looked at him like....wtf? and he looked back like....wtf?

i wanted to pull a U-turn so bad but traffic! took me about 45 minutes to get where i had and i still had an hour to go!

 

That happened to me the other day too haha. I don't usually see too many around here at all. I wanted to turn around so bad, but couldn't because of traffic.

My friend told me the other day about him going down the highway in his dad's Cobra and seeing a loud Trans Am going the other way down the other side of the highway. They both looked at each other as they passed and then he took the soonest exit and did a U-turn under to get back on going the other way to catch the guy... then they passed each other again going opposite directions. After that, he was like screw it and went on his way.

I haven't seen any other Turbo Sedan cobalts around in my area.

 

i have not eitha but just got word from my dealer that some 85 year old guy bought a yellow ss/tc and he wants me to PDI it for him so i gues theres one it should show up this week.

 

Last week we had a mini-CobaltSS meet at the local track.

Out of like 15ish Cobalts, I was the only SS/TC. Don't think they're exactly flying off the lots around me :X

 

I talked with my dealer's parts department today. They called up GM Accessories for info about it and told me that it's 30-45 days out now.

 

Yep we know. 1st of July is roughly 45 days out.

 

Dammit, i want it now. LOL for that long wait they better give us more than 290hp!!!! they should throw an extra 30 in there for our patients. :p lol

 

Yeah, I'm planning on leaving Arizona for a cross-country trip on June 28th.... I MIGHT have to put it off a couple days if my dealer can get it.

The next question is, if I can order it and have it mailed to where I'll be for most of the summer, (Ohio) and where the dealers are in north central Ohio that are qualified to install it?

 

Um, order it from Crate Engine Depot. then find a GMPP certified dealer in Ohio and take it to them for install. Very simple and that's how many people will do it.
