This just happened to my car tonight! It is a high pitched whistle under load and is clearly not the normal sound. All CP's are tight as well. Any news on your car Gdubs?

It has a full hahn exhaust from turbo back.

Ok here is the problem.
I get this really high pitched whistling noise under boost. and only under boost. At first i thought it was the exhaust. So i contacted Hahn and spent my hours talking to Bill(great guy and great help) we determined its not the exhaust. So i take it to the dealer. They say "its the Micky Mouse Exhaust) that i put on it.
Does anyone have any ideas or has someone else had this particular issue?
Its getting super annoying and super loud.
It sounds likes its coming from the location of the turbo. Any help, ideas, tips, things to check for, ANYTHING

PLZ
that whistle my friend.. is yer turbo spooling..... its a lovely sound not to be feared... usually followed by a PSSHHH but if all you have is an exhaust then no PSHHH for you...

My car is completely back to stock trim except the cold side IC pipe and it's still whistling. I am 95% sure that one or more of the compressor blades are damaged and I'll get a better look on Sunday when I get the pipe changed. Its off to the dealer on Monday

This is what it sounds like in this video that was made by a friend of mine before he changed out his turbo.

Have you checked for a leak yet? Its been asked many times, but most people do not know how to actually find boost leaks. I was getting a similar whistle to video, and I had hole in my intercooler. The engine was also running 20+psi in the stock programming, never through a CEL but I had pending ones reading it with a code reader (p101 (maf) p2186 (rich bank))

I would pressure check your intercooler/charge piping. When I did mine, I found intercooler cracks, leaking at MAP sensor (the screws in my piping) and leaking at a factory cold pipe clamp (these where all small..but still). Either installing my hahn cold again or taking the bottom in for replacement under warranty soon as I finish getting the new intercooler installed.

I haven't taken the cold side off yet but will this weekend, I'll inspect the compressor wheel at the same time. I don't have the tools to pressure check the intercooler so once I get the stock cold side on I can diagnose a little further. I know that it's either an intercooler leak or bad fins.

Could use a storage tank, and some fittings

I made one for my car for less then 30 dollars (and I over design everything, but I wanted safeties)...You could use a bicycle pump to test for leaks if you needed. Just so hard to find them w/o having pressure in the system.

Good luck in your search...I'll have a rebuilt Synapse for sell soon. Its back with them getting the new style end tanks

***Shameless plug yes!

One day I was messing with my charge piping and I guess I didn't tighten the clamps on the couplers enough and when I would go into boost it sounded like my car was twincharged or something. Check to make sure all your clamps are tightened because that is most likely the problem.
