ZZP ECU Tune Dyno'd
I never meant to put down ZZP but this tune specifically seems just thrown together. Big spike with barely any increase in hp. Seems like they decided to open up the wastegate and run it basically till the turbo ran out of steam, again judging only by the graph looking faster on the way down than a fat guy sliding down a luge track.
My numbers were in around 252-255-257 iirc STD on 4th gear. I just like the sae calibrations. I know the learn down and how it works but I understand the once you tune it should be either removed or the levels significantly higher, how is his car barely breaking 260w?

As far as the exagerated boost fade, it is just the unrealistic load setting. Also, the turbo is going to run out of steam on a 19 second pull that ends above 6500 RPM with a stock exhaust on the car.
On the learn-down, I wasn't talking about the OPs car. I was talking about your car. You mentioned that it was 98 degrees when you dyno'd, basically trying to make it sound like you would have made more if the weather was better. However, it is just the opposite. You dynoing in 98 degree temps gave you a higher HP number.
This thread is why I have not tuned my cobalt yet, who should I let touch my car? I have no clue.
I have DP and K&N drop in, I want as much torque as you can get, im not interested in peak HP numbers so much. When I saw that 371.. I was thinking.. ZZP FTW!! hahaha

Man this thread lol. I forgot about it haha.
Here's my opinion now.
ZZP's Canned tune is great, I personally recommend it to anyone starting out. I recommend it over any other tune out there for the beginners! It's cool that the tune is set up to accept most bolt ons after the fact, it may not be optimized, but it can accept it and give you some power increase. This is great.
If you have the money start here then if you want get a custom tune from someone, what's cool about ZZP is it's HPT, so you can have someone tweak it without much effort. To me ZZP is the most versatile, robust, reliable, canned tune every. So much better than GMS1 IMO.
Also with a spare PCM warranty issues can be rested.
I'm honestly glad I went this route and recommend it to anyone starting out sure it cost a little more money, but it's cool
