The Airbox mod??

If that's what you're talking about....
I think it's good. I ran it for a long time. (50K miles or more) It's free and it does help some.
I got a K&N intake now though.

Oh the AEM tube? (trying to figure out what you're talking about)

I had that on there too. I didn't really have any issues with it really. Some people say they've had surging issues while in cat warm-up mode. I never did. Mine worked fine. I've heard claims that it adds 5-6 whp...

That said:
I'd say if you don't HAVE to do it, don't. My stock tube broke where the breather connects and I was out of warranty so I got the AEM tube. I think the stock tube is better. The AEM might net some gain, but not worth it to me. I wouldn't. I mean a gain in hp is a gain, but it needs to be weighed against other things like reliability. To me the gain wasn't worth it. I'm not worried about if I'm missing out on 5 whp. I'd rather be able to rely on the rest of the hp on a daily basis. Yes my stock tube ended up failing me, but it doesn't appear to be TOO common.

Thanks, slowstang.

We also dyno tested on a customer car at our shop and picked up close to 10whp. It's probably the most HP per dollar that you can get on an LNF, aside from an ECM tune that raises boost.
