Yes, the S1 cams are only about 8-10 degrees over stock. The gains are not going to be huge. Of course if you need the larger fuel pump lobe, the gains can be much higher.

Matt, a friend of mine who runs his kappa on scca events.

In his division, he's not allowed to have a more aggressive cams.

He is having fueling issues though since he's using ethanol.

Is it possible that you guys supply him w/ a stock cam BUT with a BIG fuel lobe?

thanks!

Forty's car needs the extra fuel that is for sure. If I get super aggressive with his wg DC even at 6000 RPMs it drops rail pressure badly.

Plus of course, this is a stage 1 cams.....very MILD cams.
I forgot he got the stage 1 cams not the stage 2. Stage one should have a better powerband for his BNR 2871 setup. Even if he gains only 12 whp he will be at 370 whp on the stock turbo and an otherwise stock engine.

Alright,

So we finished the cams last night, here are some pictures taken of the whole process.

Cleaning the ZZP Cams before installing w/solvant

Preparing Valve Cover to be removed

Valve Cover removed and began working on disassembling HPFP

Common leakage of Oil in HPFP

One thing I wanted to point out was that the silicon(when opening the top portion of the HPFP housing) did not have sufficient amount to create good seal. Most likely contributing to the oil seen about leaking in the HPFP.

Stock Fuel Lobe

HPFP piston

Removing Stock Cams

Removed

New Cams in Place with Larger Fuel Lobe on intake cam

Amazing numbers for a stock turbo car. Any track times though? I would much prefer to see a trap speed associated with this.

And that was before when it was dropping rail pressure sometimes and going into limp mode. I think you can get a 91-92 MPH 1/8 trap easily now.

Thank you so much for all the pictures! Seeing that you can remove cams without removing the timing cover was a good bit of knowledge to have. Thanks.

Cool man. Last question, when you ordered these did you order the standard stage 1 cams or the larger fuel lobe for $150 more?
