Sounds like the stock rev limit to me...are you tuned to have a higher limit?

does it bog down or just bounce off the rev limiter, cuz if it just bounces thats your rev limiter being set to 7k RPMs.

Have you checked you plugs? If you have bad gas, you will see some signs of it here. Have you checked for coolant flow in your tank?

As for gas, they are starting to transition from winter to summer fuels. This might be some of it.

What is your temp reading around the time that you see this happening?

It is not good for the motor to due any hard pulls on them under 180°F unless you have a 160°F thermostat in.

Ok, that is a good start, some new gas and injector cleaner. Let us know how it works.

What are your plugs gapped at? Could be spark blowout when your engine gets hot. Acts similair to a rev limiter.

Everyone will tell you 0.032" (that's what I run), but it's not always the ideal gap for every car/setup. You want the largest gap possible w/o spark blowout. I tried all gaps from the stock 0.035" gap down to 0.032" literally chasing spark blowout away. A 0.033" gap worked ok, but I still had a hint of blowout around 7000 rpm (my limiter was set at 7250 rpm) on cold nights. That's how I knew 0.032" was the best gap for my setup.

Take out your plugs, see what they are gapped at, and work from there. Also, the ZZP canned tunes are known for having hiccups from time to time. Look into that as well.

Most like copper core plugs. My car does not.

But a common plug that most modded SS/SC owners use are the NGK one step colder V-Power plugs (BKR7E).

Never said anything about bad gas, what I said happens with hondas sometimes and might happen to cobalts, so was smart and guess what, you didn't exactly say anything intelligent either, in fact you said something completely useless so your still a douche
