how do u guys do against sti's??

 

Depends if the sti is stock or not, stock for stock its no contest.

 

well what would it take to beat a stock sti

 

from a dig or a roll

 

Not sure, seems like alot of Cobalt SS/SC guys run alot of same mods with total differant results. When it comes to my car, from a dig my friends STi beats me by a car from a dig. From a roll I beat him by a car. This is going up to 110 mph from a dig, and 25mph-110mph from a roll.

He has a short throw, front mount, intake, bov, waistegate, downpipe, and exhaust. The car was dyno tuned and he has just a tad over 300whp.

I have GM stage II, intake, header, downpipe, exhaust, short throw, Ingall's ETD. With my drag radials on I should be even with him, or so he says from a dig to 110mph we should be very close. Getting off the line really kills us cobalts.

 

do u have the stage 2 pulley like the 3.09 one

 

i ran into a stock sti once, on the highway, and from a roll at 40 i was right there next to him, we slowed down at like 110 and he gave me the thumbs up, gotta love 2nd gear in this car

 

nice, i ran into one today and wanted to see waht i can do and i mean i pretty much got smoked and im running stock with the airbox mod, we were even for a short time in third then when he shifted he jus took off

 

You only have a chance from a roll. THey'll destroy us from a dig.
