Any Ideas?!

alright so me and my buddy with a Civic SI just played around abit ... now i guess i was puffing out smoke between shifts ... and there was a burning smell in my engin compartment ... and we could faithly smell it we were driving ... now it only does this at high RPM/High Speeds ... example when i down shift it do pass a car ... or when i'm just really givin' er ....

now engins are not my area ... i know some and i'm learning everyday ... but befor i go bring it to the dealership ... anyone have an idea what this could be ?! ...

it runs fine just that burning smell and i guess smoke when i shift from the exhaust ( thats what my buddy with the SI ... thats right Civic SI in the back ... said haha )

Are you running that 2.8 on 42.5 lb injectors and the GM tune? Cuz if so, that's ur problem. A buddy of mine did the exact same thing with that setup

Injen intakes suck and can throw your MAF readings for a loop.

Theres a starting point for you

What color is the smoke? I think it is going rich between shifts or when you get on it hard. MAF readings off and tune may be rich like Bika said. Dark smoke is too rich. White smoke is BAD! Blue smoke of course is oil burning.

Your tune is rich.. I guarantee you 80% of the cars on this site at WOT there is going to be some black smoke come out the exhaust.. It happens.
