Angry autopartswarehouse.com is pissing me off!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I ordered some EBC Green Stuff brake pads from them on the 7th of this month. I then got an email from then on the 17th saying that they have to come directly from the manufacturer and it would be another 10-14 days before I recieve them.

So I'm pissed now because my car's brakes have been squealing now for 2 and a half friggin' weeks.

I called them on Monday night and was assured that this "10-14 days" was just "worst case scenerio" and I should recieve my tracking number by Tues. or Wed. Well, guess what? Today is Wed. and still no tracking number.

I called them again today to complain that had I known they were on backorder PRIOR to ordering, I would have gone with a different brand so I could have them by now and by the time I get the ******* my brakes will probably be metal to metal. So the guy tells me that as soon as they get them they will put mine as priority. I ask the guy then, "so that means you will priority ship them to me, like second day air or something?" He says no, it will still be ground shipping but we will make sure we take care of yours first (yeah right). I then say, "so with ground shipping it's gonna take ANOTHER 5-7 days to get to me, and that will make it three friggin weeks I'm having to drive around with bad brakes.

They would not priority ship them for me at all. I was highly pissed off on the phone and mentioned I was going to be getting a K and N Typhoon from them but after this episode I'll go elswhere. He said that they have those in stock right now. I tell him that unless they cut me a helluva deal on one because my first expirience with them has been so shitty, I'm gonna go buy one elsewhere.

Of course, they will not cut me a deal on it.

Now, I'm stuck waiting until tomorrow or Friday JUST to get a tracking number that my order has been shipped.

**** these guys. They need to have UPDATED info on their site if parts are on back order. Especially things as important as brake parts. I know I will NOT be dealing with them anymore after I get my EBC pads.

EBC has not started shipping out their break pads yet for the Cobalt yet, and that is why they keep having to delay your delivery.

TurboTech racing has been updating all the time here on all the new parts, and letting people know when they'll be out. I believe they even posted about the EBC brake pads too. They are a great company to deal with, and usually cut good discounts and have cheap everyday prices. I'd check them out next time you need a part.

We have a few sets on order with EBC for customers that wanted to have them shipped as soon as they are ready. Their main head quarters is in England. So it is hard to get really up to date info on the items. They should be shipping in the next week or so, as around May 1st we were last told. We have been trying to keep everyone updated....

A great company looking to help satisfy a first time customer would have priority shipped them to me or at least offered me a good deal on the K and N I mentioned I was planning to buy from them until this incident.

IMO, there is too much competition in the auto parts market for them to **** people off. It's not THAT hard to update the websiter or AT LEAST tell someone the parts they ordered will be delayed. If I would have known this, I would have went with a different brand because my brakes are squealing like mad.

I'm not blaming EBC but APW should have let me know the item was on back order when I placed it with them.

See...now THIS is good customer service. Informing and updating your buyers.

May 1st???? Holy **** man. That's a long time when your brakes are squealing.

We have the K&N in stock, just came in today... Only 2 though.

Also, there are not any aftermarket pads out.... I know EBC will be the 1st and HAWK will be soon after.

Get the Injen intake. Less likely to get a dreaded CEL! I got my lovely balck one from TurboTech as well. They are just a great damn place to get car parts from. I am in no way affiliated with TurboTech either. I am just picky when it comes to buy car parts, and they have A++ customer service.

I have a Redline. Didn't see my car listed on the Injen site. I think our intakes our set up slightly different than yours.

Oops. Sorry, I didn't realize you had a redline.

Why don't you just call Autoparts warehouse and get a refund, and go somewhere else. If your brake are that bad.
