belt installation tool?

Does anyone know if somebody makes a tool that makes it easier to use the tensioner and remove the belt? I just find that tensioner impossible to wrench down.

I just pry it down with a big screwdriver, but I did end up breaking my idler pulley doing this.

guys that tool is the ****!
Supposedly the guys at PB said GM is adopting that tool for dealers, it not only relives tension, it holds it loose so you can work!

the only thing I have found that is slightly difficult is if you have an adjustable tensioner pulley, it might be harder to get the tool on initially if the pulley is on max tension, but you just push it down as you get it on.

damn i really need one of these... i think that when i put my pully on i slightly damaged the side of the idler pulley and that **** just tore my belt into pieces... i know its my fault but if that damn pulley wasnt so damn hard to push down i think this could have been avoided...

its not the point, point is you can hold the tensioner loose so you can do ther things rather than fight the tensioner...hows the rebuild coming

The only thing i dislike is that if you have an oversized tensioner it only pushes on the pulley, not the bracket. With a plastic idler pulley, I want as little stress on it as possible.

A wrench will do you absolutly no good if you have the adjustable tensioner.

Im ordering one of those right now. Im tired of my wrench slipping off that pos idler pulley and smashing my fingers against the block. I don't understand why its not like other GM vehicles and you can use a ratchet.

Anyone know where to hit up to get a new plastic pulley besides the dealer?? I broke mine using a pry bar.
