Belt tensioner change

My belt tensioner has some slop from side to side. I want to change it, but it looks like I have to remove the super charger pulley to do so. Does that pully come off easy? Or do I have to remove the whole sc? Any info that you have would be greatly appreciated.

You compress the belt tensioner by pressing down on the little notch by the tensioner pulley with a 15mm wrench (this can sometimes be a real pain. help from a buddy is recommended). That will give it the slack it needs to take the belt off. At that point the supercharger pulley shouldnt matter.

If you do find that you need to take the s/c pulley off for whatever reason though, you'll need to unbolt the supercharger and take it to get the pulley pressed off.

It is the actual pulley that is next to the sc that needs to be changed. That seems to be part of the whole belt tensioner assembly. But in order to get that pulley off, It looks like the SC pulley needs to come off?

You in no way shape or form need to even touch the supercharger pulley.

Compress tensioner, remove belt. Service tensioner pulley as needed.

use this as reference:

i recommend a crow bar with a towel, lots easier to get belt off, just remove bolt thats holding the tentioner on and replace.

I have side to side play on mine as well, mine chirps under certain conditions, especially when its humid/raining out. It's also chaffing away at the belt slowly. Such a PITA.

Ya I wouldnt have even noticed mine, but the belt had a rib come off. I wouldnt have even noticed that if it wasnt from the tear in the foam attached to the hood.

I'll give it a shot, but it just looks like the bolt that holds the tensioner on, is right behind the SC Pulley.
