Joe - thanks I was just curious, I will let you know if it comes down to that.

Ralliartist - I should put in my profile that I am disabled, broke my back in 3 different places in a car accident and I am still recovering. Doing my own work, especially something as extensive as this is not physically possible for me.

ShortStack - Thanks you have always looked out for me on these forums no homo lol.

I just take notice of some things...

We either have the same view, or a completely different one.. but we always have good debates.

We generally agree on things, but you are right we have had some good debates, not arguments just debates .

rali - I also realize you gotta pay to play I was just hoping the only thing I had to pay was the 20 dollars to run at the track lol. I wasn't thinking it had the potential of costing me 3,000 dollars to make that pass at the track . Still I know it was my fault in the end for taking her to the track and beating on her anyways. I highly doubt it was wheel hop that caused this though, so it might not be a cracked tranny case, we will see though.

I just hope nothing is cracked, but from the looks of it it's probably a seal of some sort.

Thanks for everything guys. Car gets in the shop next monday, and will probably be done monday or tuesday of next week. I will let you guys know how it goes.
damn good luck with everything

ralli - not really thats why I am trying to sell some stuff, playstation 3 and some other odds and ends. Hopefully I will come up with enough cash to get things right, or hopefully even better yet this will all be covered on this extended warranty. Luckily my shop is pretty reasonable with the work, but if I have to buy a new tranny and pay for it I am screwed.

Trust me, I feel for you, especially with your condition, but you gotta realize, the track is brutal to vehicles and it doesn't play nice. You gotta be prepaired for your car to destroy itself. I've learned this over the years with the hundreds of track passes I've made since I was 15yrs old racing in Commerce, GA, to the drag strip in Yigo, Guam, to the drag strip in KCIR, Kansas City, to Kearney, NE, to THunder Valley, ND, and finally MAM here in Pacific Junction, IA.

FYI, the more this thread develops with info, I think you grenaded the trans probably from wheel hop. Wheel hop is the death of both transmissions and axles.

just for reference i shipped a trans from MD to upstate NY (canadian border) and it was about 150 through a discount through work... you can accually ship it ups ground... the weight limit for ground is 150lbs and with the crate i had made and the trans it came to 140lbs... hope it helps any..

I hope so man, we will figure something out =D. I am getting ready to call the shop to see if they heard anything from the extended warranty people or not, I have a feeling they haven't since they haven't called me yet, but who knows.

I doubt I grenaded the tranny because it still shifts really smooth and drives well, just has a whine to it and is leaking tranny fluid and possibly engine oil. Not 100% sure on the engine oil or not.

edit: That does help jason, I just really hope I don't have to go that route.

if the housing is cracked, it's still pretty much done. sadly.

I hope for the best for you though. These are hard times, especially for someone that can't do their own work.

update: just called the dyno shop and he said that he is waiting for a call back and that we "should" hear something by the end of the day, aka 5pm which is in 1 hour. Worst case scenario I won't know until tomorrow if it will be covered under warranty.

ralli - i believe you are less then 5 hours away from me roughly. I have almost all of the tools to do it and I could pay you a little bit + gas. Would you be willing to help me out if it comes down to this?

my car went from this

to this

in one day, all by myself. Yes I know the front bumper isn't attached, I'm still waiting on the crank position sensor to show up since mine is bad.

dude, with your condition and stuff, I'd do it for free. Just pay for gas, food, and give me a bed to sleep in and we'd be cool. 5hrs is nothing, I'd come out in a heartbeat if you need me too, just let me know. I'll pm you my cell number.

edit: Problem is I don't have the garage lol. I probably have the tools minus a few specialty ones, but I could definitely pay for your gas, food, show you around here, take you to a bar if you drink, you can stay here as long as you want. I have a pretty nice place.

shortstack - jason aka jrhdpaintball was going to drive down from MD if he had to lol.

I don't have a garage, I would have my car on the road as of last weekend, but it rained and I work 12hr shifts all week long. but come the end of this month, I'll be DONE!!! Cause I'm PCS'ing to Germany. I'm taking like 30+ days of leave.

I'll pm you my number now. FYI, I didn't double post, that's just how it showed up with all the super fast posting. lol.
