Boost Guage
Boost Guage
Hi, I took delivery of my new SS/SC yesterday. Is it normal for the boost guage to stay well below zero while there is no boost? Guage jumps wildly all over while driving. Thanks
yeah if you look at the gauge for the numbers above zero it says psi for mesuring boost, but if you look at the numbers below zero it says "in Hg" which is inches of mercury for mesuring vacuum. You want good milage, don't let the needle get above zero
Ahh that's too tough for me lol. Hence why I am getting 18 mpg. I think the little gauge thing that tells you what your getting doesn't go below 18 haha because I don't think i'm getting that.

The gaugle will read below 18mpg. I reset it at the track and got 8.9 mpg.
I found that if you keep the boost gauge below 4-5psi you will get good fuel mileg and still be able to get out in trafic ok.
Remember the car needs to be broken in properly or you could have clutch problems as well as other things later on.
