boosting

i know this has been asked often but ive read a lot of mixed answers. I just got my cobalt ss stock like 3 weeks ago and im only boosting at like 11.5 psi peak i think. def. not the 12.5 i hear ppl speak of. I thought stock boost is aroung 11-11.5 and stage 2 brings you to like 14 psi. am i right or what? should i be worried? thanks

I don't think it has to do with elevation. I'm not to far from Reston, and I boost a little over 12.

yeah i dunno. i was under the car and saw that the stock heat exhanger, one of the tubes that runs off the bottom is pinched pretty good. could that be affecting it? im getting the front mount heat exhanger soon so im not too worried. just wondering...

oh and i have a little over 23000 miles on it

the boost gauges arent dead acurate, ive seen them be off as much as 2 pounds. if it means that much to you, get a mechanical gauge and replace the stock one, itll be much more accurate.

depending on elevation youll see 11-12.5 stock boost. temperature humidity effect it alot and stage 2 should bring you to 14-15 and with a 2.9 pulley on gets you about 16-17
