GM stage 3 disables ac.
you can wire it back or go trifecta.

In my case i never used ac so with my GMS3, i got powell raceshop to remove it all properly when it was in for something.

for what its worth my 06 GMS3 walks my buds 07 GMS3 car everytime..and we are both decent drivers with exact same mods except i have the ac delete and the GMR head.

Well......the reason I was considering doing it was based primarily on.

1. Possibly some HP gain
2. Certainly some weight reduction
3. Would have been cheaper to do rather than replace the condensor which is damaged.

Those points basically. Tunrs out fixing it is like 65 bux plus freon....I work at a shop and can do all that myself. So basically unless somebody makes a kit...THAT MAKES IT REVERSABLE..the a/c stays

odds are you won't ever see this.

(to the best of my knowledge) in order to set up a car so that the ECM doesn't see any problems with the AC removed the HVAC witring needs to be meesed with ~ or largely removed;
I have a '91 GM compact which I've done the AC delete - I found the right AC delete pulley and what not ~ but I still needed to go through the whole engine wiring loom to remove select wires which were tied into the AC portion of the HVAC (t oprevent random AC or HVAC "problems" to be seen by the ECM - which would in turn cause for the service engine light to turn on...
I also needed to pull the AC pin out of my ECM connector...

It all depends on what type of driving the car is used for, track or D/D. For a D/D I would say its not worth it, but if i were tracking the car every week then it would be totally worth for three reasons already mentioned in this thread:
1) Parasitic Loss- Less rotary mass
2) Weight Reduction- like "Stacker 2" for your ride
3) Faster Revs. PERIOD

Any REAL number crunching, power hunting, dyno tuning, car enthusiast knows that these 3 things are what sets you apart from the competition. I quote " ...doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile..." a win is still a win, and even if the gain is small its a gain the could potentially put you at the top.

Really? Thats odd. I use my AC sensor line as the PCM input for my wideband for when I log in HP Tuners. Nothing works wrong, unless I try to use the AC with the transfer switch in the wrong spot, in which case the AC does very funky things.

having the delete is no different then switching the ac to off your still turning nothing but a pully on a bearing and the front of the car is the wrong place to get rid of the weight

I never said my post was infallible truth ~ actually I am not nearly as familiar with these latter OBDII systems as I am with that other car's OBDI system...
BUT if you notice the part to which I quoted and bolded ~ I'm pretty sure I'm not far off.

yea, i realize that, my point was with those 2 mods its no contest.
How much is the a/c delete really helping??
maybe a small fraction but ive tried to squeeze everything i can with the GMS3 tunes and the m62 and its been pretty successful for me.
