Question Can i get some opinions?

Im almost to the conclusion of dropping down to a 2.7 but if i keep my 2.5" pulley and get full blown cooling mods: H/E, Dual pass, Mater/Meth, and a ported blower do you still think running that small of a pulley will ruin the supercharger (as in burning up the bearings)?

You don't have any cooling mods???

I think if you go to a 2.7 you will want to go back to a 2.5.

but my point is overspinning is overspinning no matter how many cooling mods you have. a 2.5" pulley is gonna overspin your supercharger whether you have no cooling mods or 10 cooling mods. If you say heat is the reason the bearings go bad then i could say yes cooling mods will fix it but its not just heat, its the overspinning thats ruining the bearings

yah the smaller the puley the more you boost you make, but the smaller the pulley the more heat and overspinning you cause your supercharger to make as well. all in all it ruins the bearings

yes i would avoid the 2.5 as well. The blower bearings and internals are not meant to be spun that fast. With those cooling mods the air going into your engine should be fine, but the charger will take a beating. If you ran meth you might prolong the death of the blower, but its still just to many RPMS for it to take for long.

rolling performance sells ceramic ball bearing snout kits for like $170 and there is a company in germany that sells ceramic rotor bearing for like $300. So yes i could pay out the ass for these and i would be able to run a 2.5 without having to worry about the bearings going bad but i dont know if i want to. Also i probly wont notice a difference in power for 1 i get alot of knock at the top of 3rd because im running a degree or 2 to much of timing, 2 im running pig rich like 10 flat at WOT,and 3 my fastest time is 13.84 because my clutch/shifter dont seem to want to corrdinate together and i grind the gears all the time. ClutchMasters FTL!!!!!! I want an Exedy.
