I agree. Most people could careless about the people on this site. I can see why though.

It's why none of the local Turbos here even post up about their car.

I want to as well. I want to give a GT3071R a try. But I want to get a spare head, and finish my top end first, now that the bottom end is complete.

I can do the install man, just let me know when you want to do it
Just strait badass.

i'm most likey going to go turbo this winter. My buddy is building a race car and he wants my supercharger, and he said that he'll give me his new t3/t4 turbo for my supercharger. Do you think that its a decent turbo to go with? I only want to run 15-18 lbs of boost.

also, a list of parts would be awesome if you could.

one more thing, are you running a boost controller/turbo timer with it? if so what? and if not, why?

tweak the timing and fuel maps to lower the lag time.

just besure you have an egt gauge to watch it first.

That is a pretty large turbo, and I would expect that you are prepared for some decent lag. SRT4's with that same turbo will have less lag then we will, considering that they are also running with a larger motor then us.

Damn, I love my car more and more as the days progress though.

I try to help people out since when I was looking for help on this it was hard to find, but some of the guys did give me pointers via PM so I can't complain.
I'll put up a complete parts list, don't have part #'s but at least you can get an idea of what it contains.

sstuner, it all depends on which t3/t4 turbo it is, there are a **** load of different trims and whatnot to consider. I might be getting a 60-1 in trade for some parts, so I might give that a try once I build up the other motor.

Wsfrazier I have a spare head for sale at the moment, check out my for sale thread (somewhere on here)

i help all the people i can. those who over extend the niceness of me, get cut off. one person can only help so much. the purpose of asking for help is to understand what you're doing, not to have someone do it for you. hence why i have asked you, and other people who have "been there, done that" questions about things here and there.

i truely do appreciate the help that i have recieved

Sell the cams, keep the springs. Unless you want to go to another company for springs. The motor will love the 8K limiter.

Yeah... I plan on getting different springs (Ferrea (sp)) and 272 cams once turbo'd!

Text taken from ecotecforums.com( this is from Paul)

Garrett T-3 super 60, Turbo XS wastgate 38mm (switching to tial soon) and a turbo XS race BOV (also switching to tial) We used universal piping kits that Kenny got off ebay to make the piping which really made that easy. JDM sport 3" core intercooler x28x8. Ebay turbo manifold, which needed work, and more since the flange is warped and leaking.

So I know your getting tons of questions, but i have a few more if you dont mind me asking.

1. I noticed you got the turbo manifold off ebay, what vehicle was that specifically for?

2. So you arent running a boost controller/turbo timer?

3. Did you have to adjust your fuel pressure regulator?

4. The turbo i was looking at is a t3/t4 57 trim ball bearing turbo, any thoughts?

It was just a generic ecotec turbo manifold with external waste gate and down turn turbo flange (only way a turbo will fit back there)
I am running a single stage Turbosmart boost controller, no turbo timer yet, I just let the car run for about 5 minutes.
Haven't changed anything with the fuel system yet, but from the looks of things, I"m pretty much getting close to maxing out my stock one.
t3/t4 57 trim may be a little big for our car's but it will give you some damn good power once it spools.

I get full boost a little @3500 rpm's but it's making boost by 2500 and builds pretty quickly after that.
your's would probably be up around 4500 for full boost and probably start making @5psi @3krpm or so.
