Catalytic Converter Delete
So i did some searches and still have not found the answer i am looking for....
SO!
About 3 weeks ago my check engine light came on. Long story short, we BELIEVE its my Catalytic Converter. So i have two questions.
1 - If i cut my Catalytic Converter sensor, will my car even start?
2 - Would it be easier to just get like a trifecta tune rather than spending about a grand on a brand new stock Catalytic Converter, that way i can just delete the Catalytic Converter sensor?
Thanks

this does NOT go in General. Read this:

moved.
now I'm going to guess where to move this, since I have no idea what kind of car you have.
Also, 1. is extremely illegal

1. yes ur car will start... all it does it tell you the cat is clogged or is leaking or not working correctly... will do nothing elce for you beisides plug the bung hole welded in lol.( thats what the widebands 4)
2. ALOT cheaper and while ur at it if ur just stock have them send you a modified stock tune so u can grab a few extra ponies with it( only problem with mail order is u have to do a crank case relearn.... i beleave the factory does it. i would find a local tuner so as u mod the car they can just keep updating ur tune ... cheaper than geting a new mail order every time( once its unlocked its free to play around with)
Erod is correct but u could also just punch out the cat... or the internals. it will still look like there is a cat but it would be hollowed out. i have no problems in ohio without a cat idk if its more harsh in youngstown or not.
