If that 12hp gain they're claiming were true, I'd have bought one already, lol. Definitely a nice sounding exhaust though.

Really? Thanks for the info. It makes sense that there would be some gain, but from what I've been hearing the gains are in the 4-5 whp range.

Cobalt-Addiction | Performance Parts they got a GMP on there as well but it's only 2 1/4' which makes me weary but if u say others r 2.5 i will purchase soon

GM Performance Chevy Cobalt Catback EXHAUST . Checked from the GM dealer this will fit 2.0L / 2.2L 2door or 4 door , SS , LS , LT .....yes it will fit all the models. This is the exhaust with the part number ending in 1 which GM lists as the 05 - current cobalt & SS cat back exhaust system . Cobalt SS Performance system raises oem sound levels over the 90db level. (slightly less on the Non - SS models) This setup as with all the GM exhaust setups does NOT come with an exhaust tip . All piping is 2 1/4 " od and comes with complete installation instructions and hardware needed. GM instructions are extremely precise and easy to follow. Maintains GM factory warranty.

the gmpp is 2.25" NOT 2.5" dont listen to anybody else. and you make think the 2.25" is useless but the flow is alot better then the stock, i know someone who dynoe'd 10 more hp over their magnaflow system with the gmpp.

yeah after checking around i stand corrected, it is 2.25 inch. i don't know what had me thinking it was 2.5" other than the fact the GMPP looked huge compared to my stock exhaust but it does sound really good thou, even on my 2.2

It wasnt done on the same day, but it was done on the same dyno.

I wouldnt say you can expect a solid 12hp from the GMPP catback but 5-8 whp is def possible.
