Cool cobalt issue at high rpms

Ok so last night I was driving home from a red sox game and I had a buddy with me. I decided to step on it just because. First gear went as it normally does and second gear made it to about 5000 rpms and it sputtered. After I shifted to third it was fine. This isn't the first time it's happend. It's always when i'm really steppin on it and its at high rpms. The car sputters and it seems like it hesitates and it keeps going. I've been told it seems like a tune issue but I don't know. Any suggestions?

It's a cobalt ss/sc with a stage 2.

Nope, just a quick sputter and it hesitates and keeps going. Doesn't happend every time.

Spark blowout prolly. As long as it doesn't happen very often, you are prolly fine. Just gap you're plugs correctly and you'll be good.

I hve this exact problem.. it happens about every 5th or 6th time i step on it.. scanning with hpt i can only see the reaction to it happening.. I can't find the cause.. it's very frustrating

i was told it also sounds like a possible spark plug wire or I need a new boot for the spark plugs.

there are no spark plugs wires on the lsj .... we have coil packs on plug. in that case it could be a bad coil pack.
