if you add up most ss headers and a catted dp, then you add up right around $700

and $425 for a 3" catback???? that is really reasonable!

Uh, even RLForum people who bitched every day about a SCertain header still claimed a 14 HP gain from the header alone. I don't want to kick a dead horse, but that header was a "shorty" and produced better results than any other I have seen so far.
I'd like to get a hold of one and see what all the fuss is about. I got outbid on one that was listed on ebay last week.

So my understanding from the dyno graph is that the full 3" exhaust didn't loose any low end torque right ?

Sounds pretty sweet! I would have thought u would have lost some TQ low end but would have gained more power then you did, however overall it looks awesome!

keep in mind at the time that was on a TOTALLY stock car, with mods there would be increased gain

Well first mod is stage 2 then Im going intake and exhaust then eventually cooling and such. however now that I see 3" doesnt hurt your performance but actually gives full gains it sounds pretty sweet!

if it is then 8-10hp seems quite low....

I mean....we have seen a few times the GMPP catback dyno 12hp+ all by itself with no header/dp....

Its quite possible that the header/dp gave gains....and the 3 inch removed some of them by being to big
Or vice versa for that matter.

but was 12hp peak power or did it give that through the whole power band? Id rather have 8HP/TQ through the whole band rather then just peak.

Stock

Gmpp catback

all through the band there appears to be a 10hp+ gain.
and notice how stock it drops off horribly after 6k, but with the gmpp catback it builds strong all the way through to redline.
