Everytime I say I'm done dicken around with my car I read something that you're working on and it makes me think of bigger plans.

I really need to stop coming here.

The hopefully ship out today, so when I get em I'll let ya know what the part number is. They already had a part number for the 2.0L ecotec.... unfortunatly its the same number for the 2.2L rods I had to send them one of my stock rods to make sure they made them right. The rods should be good to 700 hp so I'm not too worried about them breaking under stress.

P.S. I WAS joking People have no sense of humor around here!!!

If I were you dan I would just do what you did before but just make sure you cross all your t's this time. You guys know what your doing, you just had some bad luck. Try it again. You already have most of the parts, why the hell not.

Crower isn't the only ones making custom billet rods. Pauter Machine and Macias Racing have both made rods capable of 300hp/cyl.

I know, I know.
I will be pushing him again tomorrow as the rods are "supposedly" finished and just waiting for the crank so they get shipped together.

Yeah, but at my old machine shop, they said they built a motor with Pauter rods supposedly capable of 1000+ hp. On the dyno it made 700 hp... until a rod snapped

It was a difficult decision between Crower and Carrillo, in the end basically I chose Crower because they were the only ones that would return my calls

The movie is only 8 years old.

The owner of Pauter personally guaranteed me that these rods would hold 1,200hp so we shall see. Good thing I have a spare engine.

Didn't you know? I'm only 7

I wish I had a spare motor. I might actually buy a 2.2L ecotec out of a wrecked car, and use my LSJ rods, and a set of Diamond pistons 10.5:1 and deck the head so its more like 11:1 compression then port the head and get some decent cams, for a 200+ whp NA 2.2 when my bad boy is down for maintainence.

Isn't that what they were implying in Dan's thread
For the cost of that, a spare LSJ can likely be bought and then with a bit more $$$ you can have the spare engine so you can really push it all out.

Are the 2.0 Crower rods a production or custom set?
