Ok guys I'm going with the gmpp upgrade clutch and I'm wondering if just resurfacing the old one would be worth it or just to get a new one.

how many miles are on it?

just did the GMPP and LNF TOB this past weekend. FW had 61k on it and looked perfect.
if you have not hot spots just bolt in the new clutch, if it looks bad replace it with a GM FW and OEM FW bolts. Do not reuse the old bolts they are torque to yield.

ZZP has the best price on OEM bolts.
GM parts direct has a great price on the FW but shipping is a killer. Print their price and call the dealership to convince them to sell it to you at their whole sale price.

Or I can sell you a brand new OEM FW and Brand New OEM bolts for $205 plus shipping.

get a Fidanza, I think it feels a lot better than the stock flywheel. But if you are running low on funds, just resurface the old stock one.
