does the 2.0 oil filler cap say Mobil1 on it? I put Mobile1 in my 2.4 and this would would be a cheap mod that would probably be good for a couple horsepower. Corvette's have this oil cap, but I don't know if it would fit a cobalt.

Yes, it does say Mobil 1 on the cap. When I got my first oil change in my SS/SC, they forgot to put the oil cap back on (realized it the next day after my car back-fired). When the dealer went to order me a new one, he found a Corvette cap already in stock, we tried it, and it fits perfectly also. As far as I can tell, they are the same cap (although they have 2 different part numbers).
