Experiencing blow by?

It can be very common in our cars, and can definately help pro-long the life of your motor!

When I was at the CED meet I had a bunch of members on here ask me about it, so here is where I got mine from

http://www.pfyc.com/pc/GN3020/CMUNDE...er+Filter.html

Works wonders! I've had mine for 2 years now, I'm pretty sure it saved my motor when I cracked a piston.

If you guys want pics on car I can get some later tonite.

This has been beaten to death on this site. There is also an option like this that can accept a fitting to run a line to a catch can...

ZZP sells one also... It's listed under their Grand Prix 3800 stuff as they use the same oil cap as us and LS1's.

I run ZZP's on mine... Here it is... http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_p...cts1.php?id=95

There is also a harness to turn your stock EVAP pump into a crankcase pump to create a vacuum in the crankcase under boost...

Thread here... https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l-lsj-performance-tech-47/vacuum-pump-ss-sc-220457/

Beware though there is a neverending debate on this however concerning if/when it is 'needed' and if it does/does not skew airflow readings by letting unmetered air into the engine...

Ya the ZZP one isn't bad. It isn't quite as good of quality as the other one (chrome plated versus machined), but it also sits closer to the engine, and I like the way it looks better.

I'm real interested in the vacuum pump idea now, but I haven't found very much info on it yet.

even with the filter on the oil cap mine is so bad that the filter at time also spits oil out i need to look into tapping the cap into a catch can and also the back part of the valve cover

Ya that's the harness that is referenced in the other thread I posted. Do you have any other info on it? Type needed (plug type)? Uses stock EVAP pump? Need to reroute anything?

I noticed a little oil around my valve cover, and my catch can has some, so mine is definitely pushing some oil out.

I just found out too that there is a GM vented oil cap, part # 12589430 I'm not sure if that will do the trick or not though as I can't find a good picture.

So I have an 06 cobalt ss with blow by and a vacuum seal leak. I’m not really sure what to do. Do I need to replace the entire supercharger or can I fix it? If so how? I’m new to supercharger so I really don’t know **** about it.
