Hit your car with a little nitrous and you'll see EXACTLY what I mean
I really miss my car at times, the shock factor it had when people just didn't expect to get raped by a cobalt is what made it fun for me

Just spent a lot of coin on a wedding, haha.
Yeah, the track is on my list of things to accomplish.
In actuality my airflow was probably similar to yours, stock blower with a 2.8", GMR cams, turning to 7600rpms. I did mildly smooth the exhaust ports of the head myself when I had it off for the rebuild. I was WAY out of injector up top but the car was a monster.

Also, did they drop in with out issue? Or did you need to dial them in?

i can bouch for this as he had my 2.8 80s only balt hurting so many feelings even more than when my lsj was turboed haha
I have a 3 day weekend coming up.
I'm going to start tearing her apart this upcoming Monday. I hope to have the stock head off the car by the end of the day.
I need to order a new valve spring compressor tool (sold mine last year), and then I will transfer the supertech springs & cams over to the gmr head.

there are two different iterations of stock rockers. To clearance latest LNF iteration rockers on an LSJ you have to shave the retainers or the rockers or install Supertechs 75 springs. Or use ZZP's which are good to clear.
Awesome man, glad to see you got more goodies for the car. I'll definitely be checking back for results.
I have been out of the loop for a while, but were the GMR heads just a limited production run that GM Racing made for release? Sort of like they did with the GMR cams?

convincing gmpp to do another run wasnt easy. no mas is the answer. they are gone. can be duplicated but the price etc new parts ? wow its a great deal. I have two of them one on each motor. not for sale. for my RL
As most of you know, I purchased the GMR head Jannetty was selling last week. It was some what of a wedding present from my new bride to me (she allowed me to purchase it, haha).
Below are some teaser pics. The head came complete, and ready to install. I will be of course swaping my S1 cams & Supertech valve springs over to it. Enjoy!

Can you make some more detailed pics of the GMR port work? (exhaust only right?)
Maybe a few with a stock exh gasket on for reference?
Edit; just read the for sale thread, so an original GM-R head. (how did I miss this...)

Nice! Is this an OEM-GMR head or a copy to GMR specs?

The head came with all the goodies for a nice easy bolt on job, but I want to swap in my supertech 75# springs and cams from my stock head. I even thought about running stock cams again since it comes with brand new cams. We shall see.
I was going to start looking into it over the winter, but the GMR head will be my project this year.
She goes under the knife next Monday.
I might.
Kinda want to see how everything runs on the GMR S3 hardware first.
Hasnt failed me yet.

#75 valve springs no issue. Great buy, the car will make more power with less boost. Speedbuggy got some very good results back to back with the head change. I sold my one spare to him....
