Yes, I am a Tech at a Chevy dealership. You can install the kit yourself, the insructions are pretty-good. I feel if the install is done properly, you should not have any warranty issues. You need to take the car to the dealer to have the reprogramming done, so I would have the Advisor and/or Tech inspect your work and sign off it was done properly. You will need a press or pulley remover and an installer. I was able to makeshift an installer from my numerous kits, but will try purchasing the proper one.

That is a hard ? to answer. You could install the parts and still drive it there, but by being very easy with it. I do not know what would happen. I think a SES (cel) light may set, if anything. My shop has done some reprogramming for an outside shop that works with supercharging 'Vettes. They always tow them in.

sold out? How do you know that? Can a dealer find out an orders status? I ordered and paid for mine already I hope the damn thing is on it's way. If a kit is sold out, when they go to order it would it say sold out or unavailable or something like that? The track opens this friday, I can't wait to surprise some people there That's why I want it NOW!

i guess everyone else that said they ordered the kit doesn't know how much they paid, or where they got it from.

ok this really sucks.. Is my dealership overpricing me? Now they want to charge me for the intake gasket (74.00cdn) wich will take another 5 days to ship so NO INSTALL UNTIL NEXT MONDAY.

Sorry off topic, but this does have to do with pricing..

Someone is going to dyno their stage 2 today. Kepp an eye out for the thread. I would do it but the closest Dyno-Jet is in another state. The difference with this stage 2 is way way way worth the money. This is how it should have come from the factory. It puts a smile on your face! and a little and lots of and finaly

I really want to know if the gasket is reusable. (if thats even a word) 75bucks for the intake gasket makes a difference in time and money. I already paid more for the kit then everyone else im thinking on just returning the kit and getting my money back. Atleast I have my car now.

Okay now I found it. That sucks but the other guy NJBLUESS has his up and running so he will know if it's reusable and would this not be included if it was really needed. It should also be on that instruction sheet you have.

As far as I've read about these kits all the parts you need are included with the kit. I would definately question your dealer, sounds like their padding the bill to me. You could just take the kit somewhere else to get it installed, unless you want to sell it to me?

I serriously dont see why that would have to be replaced with the kit ... sounds like they are trying to bend you over

I got to keep my stock gasket. Don't listen to everything the dealer tells you. Remember... they are salesmen. Take it to another dealership.
