The LSJ supercharger gaskets are reusable. If you don't want to wait on your dealer to get you one (if yours is damaged) we sell them for a lot less than $75.00.

Never saw it listed. But everyone who presented credible prices and other info generally included the 1.5 hours. Also i really can't see it taking longer than 2 hours like i have said...

Means nothing. It's all retail piece work at "flat -rate" . The dealer just punches the 3 primary jobs into the ADP software (or other estimation system) and that's what you'll get quoted. "Replace supercharger"+"Replace 1 injector +3 add"+"Reflash ECU -Techline" + "estimated add time SC for pulley R&R".
If you get quoted less than 3.0 hrs you're getting a deal. (dealers can charge less if they want - many will if THEY sold you the kit)

I think the 1.5 was tossed around as a typical charge to "reflash only" for the Stage 1.
*Remember it's really got nothing to do with how long it takes. The the calcualtions used to create the "retail time" includes a "charge" for the special equipment used and the costs relating to the level of tehncian training required to perform the operation.

I will ask for clarity on Friday when I get mine installed.
No, there's no charge for the software. But because they "know" it's a reflash requiring a VCI, they maybe adding an additional charge for the time the spend ont he phone to Techline Support to get the "code"

I checked with SPO to see if there were other pulleys available and came up empty. Currently I'm trying to determine the root supplier of the pulley (I was told it's likely Magnussen) to see if they offer other pullies with the same bolt pattern to fit the Stage hub.

I could care less how long it really takes. My dealer is relatively cheap for the hourly rate so even if it takes 3 hours i'll still pay less than 250. Any more than that and i'll seriously consider just having them do the computer part.

What I was saying\meant to say was we pay twice, software in the stage kit price, install software in the labour price meaning yes we need to pay for the techs time to get our kit included software* downloaded and installed.

Thats kinda what I thought this morning when I dropped my car off to get Stage 2 put on.

It cost me $156 to have it all installed. I dropped it off at 8 and it was done (with a road test by my tech too) at 11.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!

You may have done or thought of what I am going to say in this post, but I have not actually seen any info or discussion about this.

Just a word of warning. make sure your pulley is not less than half of the circumference of the crank pulley or you will destroy your supercharger. It will be over spinning anyway and I cant tell you what will happen.

The little eaton rev limit is 14000 rpm. so say the crank pulley is 6" and spins at 7000 rpm then 3" will spin the ecotec at 14000 rpm.

Take a piece of string wrap it around the pulley and mark the string. pull it back out to measure the circumference. I have not done this yet but plan to do it. let me know what you find if you take my advice.

just dont want to see anyone have a major failure.

Found out their cost is 1075 on the GM login website and thats how much i can get it for. Why did I buy it at that price? Because I trusted my dealership. I understand they need to make money but dont go telling your customers your selling it at cost cuz thats ****** stupid... Anyways I bit their bullet and know I have to wait another week for the install because they want allll the gaskets just incase one breaks (note they never installed anything like this before) I should of just let my family dealership take care of it but I chose MEWS IN OTTAWA because there local. Why cant it be cheap and simple?

The maximum continuous speed for the Gen 5 blower is 16,000 rpm. You can peak higher than that and not have to worry.

Got Bad News On The Stage Kits. I Work At A Gm Dealer And Just Got Off The Phone With Gmpp. Right Now There Is A Delay On Getting The Kits Until At Least The End Of April. It Seems That Gm Farmed Out To Of The Components For The Kits Overseas And Production Will Not Arrive Until April. Also Heard That The Kit Might Be Different Than The Ones Some Of You Have Already Installed (possible Parts Problem ? With Existing Kits

I agree. There is always some "GM" person who say ***** and another who says ##### and then everyone else fights over which misinformed person is right.
