GM Stage 2 Pulley sizes

When i bought my car it already had the GM stage 2 installed and i assume that the pulley is the GM 3.0. I was reading on Cobalt Addiction that that pulley could be replaced with a 2.8 pulley and it would run fine. Is this true? will it mess up anything in the ECU?

GM stage two pulley is 3.065 inches, stage three is 2.99. Dont run a 2.8 pulley on the stage 2 tune.

You need 60 lb injectors and a retune. I would suggest OTTP's stage 2 kit

but apparently alot of people have done it before and it works fine. I read that it was supposed to bring you into the right AFR because the GM stage 2 runs rich as it is.

No, it doesnt work fine. The people that say that are the ones who dont even own a scan gauge/wide band to monitor things like IAT2, IPW/IDC, A/F ratio, and knock. Do not listen to the fools on here that run a 2.8 pulley on a unmodified GM Stage tune. I guarantee that someone will come in here and say they have done it, and it runs fine. Can't wait
