Not sure since mine came with the kit. I would ask my dealer or someone else that might or purchased it already. Anyone?

Stage 2 Flash

Your dealer calls in and gives them your S/N and VIC number and the "system" downloads the cal to a tech 2. Then the tech hooks the tech 2 to your car and it reprograms. I watch the dealer do this and the whole process took about 20 minutes. Most of that was download time.

Kits on Back Order

My source at GM said that the demand has been so high that they can't keep up with the orders. He said it will probably be another month before they catch up with all of them and get back to next day shipping.

Getting installed tomorrow, exactly 5 weeks since I placed the order. I called the dealer the other day (May 2) and they said it had arrived on April 26th.

I know it's a good idea to get new spark plugs, but do I have to get them right now with my stage 2 or can i wait awhile?

You can wait. But dropping down to the smaller pulley it's a good idea because you are making more boost. When I took my old ones out the electrode was tiny compared to the new plugs

I spoke with a contact at GM and if you have a GM dealer install your Stage 2 GM kit all manufacture's warranty still applys and is still valid.

GM should be providing official documentation that clearly states the warranty info. That way certain dealers wouldn't be able to argue with you about it.

your warrenty is with GM not the dealership if they give you a hard time contact gm about the dealership and ask them if they know of another dealership in your area which they can refer you too.

I know this is some what off topic, but I just put a bunch of mods on my 06 ss sc cobalt.
I added GM stage 2, GMPP exhaust manifold, GMPP cat back exhaust, injen intake. Boy what a big DIFF! This car kicks ass and the sound is crazy. I am new here and cant start a new post yet??? Just wondering if any of you guys have these same mods and had a dyno done? I know that the ex man and pipe add 28 hp (seen dyno). and stage 2 is what another 30? thanks....

This is kinda off topic but kinda not. I am getting the GMPP exhaust manifold. and a few of the dealers around me have either said they refuse to intall becasue of emissions calbrations or that they would install in but it would void the warrenty of attached parts if found to be at fault. So now i am a little upset so i call GM ( acutally it was Chevy Customer Service Line).

They told ANY at all mods to orginal facotry equipment including GM parts (including stage upgrades ) or NOT GM would fall under the The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Is this statement true ?

I think the rule of thumb here is if you want to mod your car you have to be willing to sacerfice the guarentee of a warranty.

The bottom line is it is up do the dealership to say yes or no. If you get a no from one dealer keep on trying. You will find one that will cover your car. I do agree with Wood though...
