If you can't find a dealer to fix your car under warranty then just call up GM. If you had the stage kit installed by a dealer and have all the paperwork, GM would definitely help you get straightened out.

If I ever have a problem after I get a stage kit, I'll just report the dealer to GM. Legally dealers can't turn you away on a warranty repair.

Warp into a video of Back to the Future....get in the dam Deloreon (sp)? ....go back about two month ago and you could order it for about $650-750. Think they are gonna go up real soon as they are getting more and more in demand. LOW supply/HIGH demand=a skinny wallet.

If the reflash is the same for both kits it means that with my stage 2
i can install the stage 1 and wait later for belt pulley to complete the stage 2,
Right ??

ok question....if i were to buy this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

i would still need to purchase the injectors. but would i need to obtain the instructions of stage 1 or 2 so they could call up the tech line and get the reflash?

well that kit requires stage 1 to be installed for that to work, so yes you need injectors and stage 1 installed then that upgrade kit takes you to stg 2

you would just be better off getting a stage 2 full kit rather than doing that....

not really, you can get the full stg 2 for around 650 and the upgrade kits are like $400 a piece...
you cant get the flash without the instructions and you can get the instructions without the stage 1 or full stg 2 kits

For a dealer install expect a quote of 1.0-2.0 hrs labour for Stage 1 (2.0-3.5 for Stage 2) They work flat-rate so they will just stack the retail price of the reflash onto the injector set R&R. Or if you are comfortable doing the injectors yourself, they will likely just charge an hour for the reflash.
It wont be negotiable so I suggest when you get a decently priced quote that you get it in writing. (printout from the estimation system software)
Good Luck
Regards
Wop

Are you getting the stage II through Cable-Dahmer? If so, do you know if they've installed any others ? Thinking about getting a stage II myself ( I'm from Warrensburg...). but I don't want to be the "first time" experiment for a service department

I got my stage 2 kit today!

I order it about three weeks ago. The dealer said absolute worst case scenario I would be charged 5.5 Hours @ 82.00 hr max., but they would honor the factory warranty on the cobalt and warranty all kit parts and labor for 36 months or 36000 miles, this is the first kit they have installed and said it will probably be a lot less, but hey said they will have the tech punch the clock and give me a copy. All the other dealers I called said about 2-3 hrs. so I'll see if they screw me and if they do, I'll get my manifold and cat back exhaust installed elsewhere plus all my maintenance. O' I paid $750 for the kit. I'll post up the actual charge thur. or fri. I almost forgot the kit is NOT part of the power train warranty and should not effect it and is part of the emissions/fuel warranty according to the dealer.

from what i hear the pulleyboyz 2.8 works good with the gm hub and the stage 2 belt as well with no slippage

Just finished reading 7 pages of this stuff. If I was to just get the GM Stage 1 only, can I run a 2.7 pulley with the same injectors or just stick to 2.8 pulley? I know that with the 2.8 you dont have to change anything. I dont see why people are getting the GM stage 2 when its just a belt and a 3.0 pulley for hundreds of dollars when a pulley costs like 50-60 bucks and the tensioner is about 80-100.

people will spend a lot of money if they want the performance, the fact that it comes with a warranty just makes it better
