Cruise control to turn on, Hold Set on Cruise control to turn on Shift light to indicate HOM. While car is off and ignition is on. Simple really

i mean seriously and when u use ur A/C your car gets EXTREMELY slower due to adding more tension/load to the existing pulley system

So when the ac is off it doesn't have a belt on the compressor anymore or did I miss the memo. Also you don't have enough of a power loss to worry about it in your car

This.

I've been GMR Stage 3 for 3 years now.

So many silly comments from the kiddies.

Hey Joe its raining this morning...you miss that AC this morning or do you just hold your breath for your commute?

J/k

I am keeping the AC for the rest of fall until I have a second car then I am removing mine as well when I build the motor.

gms3 with a/c is nothing new, my buddy rolls with gms3 and a/c works perfect.
i also have gms3 with bolt ons gallore , weight reduction, ac delete balh blah and a few other things that will compliment the tune.
let me tell you how the car pulls like a bat out of hell.
With a blown IC pump a faulty t-stat and in nitrous mode( not spraying, just trouble shooting, so 10.0 accross the board)
the car made 250 hp and 224 tq, thats more than stage 2 or some custom tuned cars get...
got it all fixed and never found the time to go back, but after im done doing what i have planed for it, ill dyno yet again.
should be later in the fall.

Sure, its old, and stuff like tvs's or turbos are easily available.
or you can trade in your car and pay another 5 years for a cobalt or you can do what some of us do and thats research .
Ive ran many different cobalt opponents with various setups and lets just say i shock alot of people and its only getting better with age.

this thread makes me lulz.

I Agree with the Power Loss Bull Sh@$, I Live in PA and we had one of the Hottest Summers Ever and I was using the A/C All the Time and it Sucks! The A/C just totally Drains the Power of our Cars, I noticed that Immediatley

I don't notice much of diff when my A/C is engaged.

Maybe I need my butt dyno recalibrated.

the AC disengages on WOT, but the fan is still blowing since the condenser is still cold you feel the cold air.
HPT can attest to that. the only drop is because of the fans still drawing amps that the alternator is getting taxed from the wot and the fan.....

I am also GMS3 and was on the old SC setup. I ran too a few runs on normal mode with 93 gas and then added 100octane and ran HOM mode down the track. No difference on times or anything, i actually got worse with equal 60ft etc.

Either way the GMS3 is a great tune. I would recommend getting tuned on top of it though.

If it picks up any knock it will bring you back to your 93 octane timing and fuel maps. You probably had a little too much 93 in the tank when you mixed in what 2-3 gallons of 100?

yeah gotta be like on Empty than fill with 2 gallons of 93 and 4-5 gallons of 110 race gas. so it'll keep it on. Ur Shift light should stay on if it doesnt means it ain't working

Could i spray meth/water mix without a tune. Just to cool the air?

Actually nothing in the tank at that point, and no timing pulled since i watched and logged the runs with HPTuners. Just made no difference for me at least. Filled up with 93 on the way home again.

I feel a very noticeable diff when H.O.M. is engaged on my car.

It pulls harder in the mid-upper rpm range.

Do you remember the timing advance you logged?? While in H.O.M., I see upwards of 26* of timing at W.O.T. from 6,000-7000rpm.

Dude u realize even though the A/C is on the belt doesn't mean the it's CLUTCH is active. When turn on the clutch kicks it to spin the A/C which in theory ADDS a load. When a load is added to a operation power is loss due to more need of power to spin. It's basic mechanical knowledge.(learned this in Basic mechanics 101)
Thats why if u buy a LIGHTER crank wheel the motor will feel faster. That's because the load is no longer the same weight. Less power to turn.

Also having 20% tints on all windows except the front. I like to keep the windows rolled down as long as it's not raining or snowing due to getting tint tickets lol. Car looks sexy a **** with it.
