So I am posting a poll along with this thread to help guage an interest. I realize that it can be hard to tell if your willing to buy a product that doesn't exist yet, but try to be objective.

header or headers they're the same thing just a diferent number, i think most of us with these cars are used to v6 or v8's and we'll continue to refer to the cobalt's header as "headers"

? $500 bucks for a 4cyl header ?

What is it made from Titanium? Tuned long tube headers for a LS1 cost $799 and have a Y-Pipe.

The header will consist of thick 14-gauge mild steel primaries. They don't get thicker than that. Most headers are tinny 16 and 18 gauge. The header is coated inside and out with a 2-stage thermal barrier silver ceramic coating. The header is completely dipped in a special thermal coating then baked and cured. It is then sprayed with ceramic coating and baked and cured once again. This is a lengthy coating process and the most expensive. This is ideal for S\C applications. The primaries will probably be 1- 3\4" depending on design, with a 2.5" collector opening. Beefy 1\2" flanges will be used. Stock manifold gaskets will probably be re-used, as GM does make a quality gasket. This will be a direct bolt in header, replacing the restrictive OEM manifold. O2 sensor position and installation hardware will be included. Look for a retail price betwwen $450.00 - $500.00. This will be the ultimate design and qualty that should last the life of the car. That's why we offer one of the best warranties in the business, a No-Fault lifetime gaurentee. TOG warranties to the original purchaser, for life, each new header set to be free of defects in materials and workmanship; including, but not limited to, tube cracks and welds. Header coating excluded or at the discretion of TOG.

See about making a cat replacement pipe that is 2 3/4 or 3" that we can put a high flow cat onto....also!from the header to the cat back or even a full length header

Header Update 6\30

Slight delay due to Dyno issues, but really doesn't slow us down that much. We will have the prototype header done by Friday 7/8 and a production header the following week. We will do our best to do a step down 4-2-1 header to achieve the highest gains. It all depends on the room availble and the angle of bends. We will consider doing a high flow cat combo from the header to the cat back with larger diameter piping throughout. (Off road use only)

Look for a retail price of $469.99 plus shipping.

Preorders may be available soon.

Regards,

Jon

Jon,

YOU ROCK! Put me down for the "off road unit" header to catback! Just make sure to keep a flex joint in it (I'm sure you will, but I feel better saying it, lol)

What size pipe are you guys contemplating?

Wow, it's a pleasure to see the enthusiasm! TOG looks forward to meeting your performance demands.

We will not do a long tube header, but can do a high flow cat combo. This would include a flex pipe that consist of a double woven stainless steel outer mesh with inner beveled tube welded to a larger O.D. aluminized steel pipe through a high flow catalytic converter. We could do stainless steel pipe, but not really necessary and much more expensive. This would be a simple bolt on from the rear header flange to the Cat-back. The cat would remain in the same location to assure it lights properly. All provisions for O2 sensor bung would remain intact. This would be "For off road or Race use only" Not for sale or use in CA or states that have implimented CA standards.

Sold seoerately, this would be a very clean piece using the best flex in the industry and a true high flow cat.

If there was enough interest, we could 'possibly' do a cat-back exhaust system with larger O.D. that would be mandrel bent aluminized steel complete with straight through or chambered muffler. Tips would probably be sold seperatly.

Sound interesting? Feed back or additional ideas would be appreciated.

Any interest in a pre-production 'Group Purchase' for the headers?

I'm in but SS for my downpipe to the cat back please

If you do a Cat back with a resonator and a nice sounding muffler with a SS large diameter tube I am in!
