I would bet its in your tune.

And in most places E85 is about $1 less than premium or so, but there are places that raised the prices a lot lately. Here it is currently $2.99 a gallon for E85, $3.74 for 87, and I think $3.94 for 91.

If you have a good tune, no, no need for cooling mods. E85 burns cooler than gas. I'm running mine on a 2.7 pulley on a TVS, just E for cooling, no meth no aftermarket h/e.

You'll need to retune to run anything other than E85 on a regular basis. Like others said, you can limp home on 93, but you can't run it in boost or for an extended period of time.

Fuel efficiency will drop, mine went down about 12% from 93. Don't know about power, I didn't dyno before I went to E, but it made 345whp on E85.

and can you run premium if im in an area with no e85
Depends on your area. Here it's like 60 cents less than premium.

Not too worried about it. It may not be staying on E if the prices keep going up. Plus it's not available at the track, so it's probably going to go back to pump gas soon.

You dont have to change fueling just increase your spark advance to actually take advantage of the extra octane. Watch out with race gas though, around here all of ours is leaded and if you have a cat that'll clog it right up.

Wuts up crew?

Ive been on E for about 2 months now, got my tune from zzp, even on warm days like today when its like 60 outside first thing in the morn I gotta warm my balt up, likes to lope till about 130-140* and I used to get 26-30mpg now with E its around 20-25mpg. I need to be properly tuned. Is there anyone that anybody knows of in the Bay Area?

Switching to e85 is easy as long as you have a good tuner around you.

well i went on e for a short wile and loved the power but the pita of finding stations is no fun at al...

also like said up above if you live anywhere where it gets colder then 40* you will have big problems running e in the winter.

and i could be wrong but i thought e burns hoter then reg fuel? hence the more hp with a better and more solid burn? could be wrong but... i know with my ss/tc my cars normal temp went from 189* to 200*ish on e.

E burns cooler and slower than regular gas, which lets you run more spark advance.
