I think im getting lag.

Ok first tech question here. I got an 05 supercharged its got 45k. My Question is, on the highway when im crusing like in 4th i think it does it in 3rd as well. If i punch the gas, the rpms shoot up from 3 to well over 4, and shoot back down to 3 as i accelerate, I dont really feel any loss of power, and its boosting at 11psi.. which i think is pretty standard for a stock SC. I dont ever remeber it doing this. CEL has come on, but as long as i dont beat it up, for hours on end it stays off. Any help would be appreciated

That would also be my guess.

Get up to like 4k in second, and throw it into fifth. RPMS rise... its your clutch.

id guess its ur clutch slipping, you hit the gas it slips and the rpm's rise, and then when it catches the rpm's drop and the car starts to accelerate

it actually feels like its accelerating much harder than it was before. I also just had an oil change, and i know they used synthetic... but not mobil 1. Even though it "slips" it seems to respond faster than it did before. I dont want to say its the clutch.. becuase theres no shifting involved. But im not sure if it matters.

Double Post for the Update:

It went from producing the same boost, to a shitload... to none, I took it to the dealership, thinking maybe a boost leak, it turns out the clutch is bad. Any and all error codes i had were in relation, to the clutch going out.

So next question is, honestly... i just need a clutch, its a stock ss, 05, what would you reccomend... Right now it has to be cheap. THANKS!
