Nizzle you have no idea what you're talking about. The pump comes on after ten seconds of the car being started on the stock tune and gm tunes. It's not a progressive pump

As do I, and you're right.

The pump turns on after 10sec, and stays on.

I have check it more than once. With a volt meter, light tester, scan gauge, and trying to just listen for it. Maybe if your rpms are up due to converter warm up cycle but not once it is up to operating temps.

I just screen shot this from HP Tuners from my stock tune file...

Engine Run Time: Minimum 10 Seconds before the pump turns on

Intake Air Temperature: Minimum 5 Degrees Fahrenheit(if IAT1 drops lower than 5*F the pump will turn off, any temp above 5*F it will be on)

Sorry guys but Ive been trying to figure out exactly wut you guys have been talking about but can someone clariffy some things for me? Is iat-intercooler air temp? and I noticed the coolant temp in my information center that reads around 180-187 for the engine coolant so where are you guys seeing a temp gauge for the intercooler air temp? Ive heard its not supposed to be over 130 and I would like to check mine. Thanks

you can see the coolant moving and can hear the pump running IF you have a properly working pump...

But IAT1 is pre supercharger temp. IAT2 is after supercharger.

IAT : Intake Air Temp

For IAT's to be read, you need either HP Tuners, or an Areoforce Interceptor, or some sort of OBDII Scan gauge

My pump is brand new. Just put it in about a month ago. It is working fine. My IAT2's hover around 20* above IAT1 unless I am stomping on it.

Grab your hoses while the car is idling. You will feel the coolant pump through the system.

whats your point?

acutally tbh i dont know which iat it actually reads off of, but if its iat2 that has to be lower than 5*F than your pump will be on even more often then iat1...

and unless your weather is constantly under 5* that is null and void

My point is tbb, that I might be right and you might be wrong given the fact you dont know the dif between IAT1 and IAT2

I have opt b. All you will see is a few burps as it bleeds the air when the pump first turns on.

You need to go grab the lines as your car idles. You will feel the coolant circulating trust me. It would be a very poor cooling system if it didnt circulate the coolant all the time.

That's what I thought to but then I proved myself wrong, unfortunately. I dont want it to be like this. I wish it was on all the time.
