I was talking about 79

Performance: Cobra: 0-60 in 5.9 seconds, 1/4 mile in 14.5 seconds @ 98.0 mph.

Pretty good race for a stock cobalt I'd say.

See, now I need clarification. Is that baby Jesus crying, or just babies in general? Big difference! lol...

I have to admit I am biased, I just hate mustangs though SC Cobras are bad ass and most mustangs sound good when there idling.

How is that? I merely stated that the 87 and up ran low 14's at the track stock. He was suggesting that Mustangs were typically slow.

Well, I got some more tuning done tonight. I'm getting there, but I'm real slow at it. I'm sure a Pro could knock it out in no time, but I like to make sure I don't break anything by trying to go to fast.

Here is an outside video for you guys starting at 25-30mph in 3rd gear and running it all the way out. I hit the end of third gear about a second or two before the brakelights come on. Remember, there is still plenty more tuning to go as my A/F ratios are around 10.7 - 10.8 in the midrange now. Then, it's onto adding the methanol Friday along with some more timing.

Onto the video. Please save the bashing and trash talking for another thread.

That rules...is the 2 screw louder than the M62 ? Sure sounds good, from front& back! So is the 2 screw better than you expected? Has it been worth your sacrifice (and putting up with this thread!)

Thanks guys, I figured you'd like that one. 25-30mph to 112 in around 12-13 seconds in only third gear feels pretty quick to me.

Just as a side note I tried starting a full romp from a slow roll in first and just lit up the tires, shifted and spun all the way through second gear, shifted again and finally caught some damn traction in third gear. Yes, I finally beat on her a little bit to see what she was made of. It was awesome! I also have torquye management on by the way too! Trying to keep this tranny a bit safer.

Dyno should be on for Saturday if the meth re-hookup goes as planned. I wan't my chiller back bad since it's been so damn hot out.

Nice Video man, so what are you expecting it to put down? And are you going to a Mustang or Dynojet?

I'll probably hit the Mustang Dyno since it's open on Saturdays, but I do have baseline numbers on a local dynojet too. IIRC my numbers were 199whp and 177wtrq on the dynojet when I was bone stock and it was like 90-99* outside and humid as hell with no fan on the front of the car either! On the Mustang dyno with just my intake, I laid down 197whp and 177 wtrq and it was a lot cooler out that day.

Yeah, a third gear pull from 25-30mph all the way to 112mph is a long pull. That's the main reason why I won't dyno in 4th because it's even longer! That and there is only a 2whp difference between the two gears when I tested that 3rd or 4th gear dyno theory.
