So I decided to do the airbox modification since I liked the sound from the CAI but didnt want to deal with the problems I was having. I went and bought one of the universal K&N knockoff cone filters from Murray's this weekend and put it on instead of the stock one. I pulled the neg cable during the install, and it runs great! It sounds the same as the CAI, cost less, and doesn't throw codes. Anyway, I am satisfed, and I will be selling my Injen soon.
