My best 1-2 shift ever was on my 12.2 pass, and that was because I had traction and I knew it. I could feel it was gonna be a good run, so I wasn't gonna mess up. 2-3 and 3-4 is retarded I almost feel bad for the car, but I shift fast, not hard.

Mis-shifting happens because you are thinking about shifting into the next gear. Don't think, just do it. I think that my syncro is bad or my clutch is garbage. My 1-2 in the Cobalt is kind of tough and "locks" me out very often. In my Civic's I just rip it into a gear. The less you think about it, the better you get

I never mis-shift, just not lightning fast on the 1-2 usually. At the track I can get it done. I just never do it on the street.

I don't like putting myself on a high horse either but I'm a really good driver too. I try to treat the Cobalt better than my other car because it is more expensive to fix. I hope that my clutch holds better than it did before

There's a select few on this site that have proven they can drive and you are one of them. Your time slip proves it. I hope to make my time slip prove it too. I just need the slicks. I'm annoyed with these 2.2 60'ers. I bang every gear but I need to launch better. Problem is that the closest track to us is 2 hours away.

I feel your pain. Our closest track is 3 hours away, and I only get there once a year. The track I want to run at this year, which is way nicer, is 6 hours away.

For now I will leave my car the way it sits. If I somehow don't manage a high 12 in the 1/4 then I will see what else I can do. Nitrous? Back on topic though. Sorry OP

I was trying to see if it would build boost like a turbocharged car but it looks like it loses boost. Could that be why it gains traction? I was watching a lot of HatrickStu's videos and he doesn't fight for traction like most of us.

350hp is enough for mid to low 12s

Right. Your boost level is directly related to rpm on an sc. There is no "spool" other than the fractions of a second it takes to fill the IM with boost.

I understand the concepts and how it works. I just don't see how a limiter can actually net you a better 60'. I know that using one on a turbocharged vehicle does really well. I'd like to see a comparison with a supercharged vehicle with no other modifications done but a wot box.

I won't be at 350 HP. I'd be lucky to see close to 300 WHP with what I've done. I know that my tuner has run a 13.0 @ 111 MPH with 273 WHP and 26xWTRQ.

I've given up with wanting to hit 11's and make this car into a drag car. It costs too much and you get nothing back from it.

I'm hoping that on a set of slicks I will personally be able to get a 1.8 60', I know it possible. If I manage to do that then I will be able to see a solid 12.7ish.
