also need to drill/tap my intake manifold for the PCV port for the head. hope to do that this coming weekend.

ive been sick the last few days, my goal is to get the exhaust mani, turbo, AN hoses made for oil feed/drain, fittings installed for EQP, CKP sensor and front cover installed.

Then would just be waiting on clutch parts before it gets installed.

 

Yea it's cray how much detail is going into this build. How long has it been since you've driven it?

it was a jackstand queen for the last 4 years

 

Made some progress this week. 90% of my fittings are in, in the process of making AN lines for the drain and oil feed.

I studded the turbo manifold so the bolts wouldn't loosen and mounted the turbo and verified its orientation.

Started working out the fittings for the EWP hoses and routing.

Biggest accomplishment was drilling and tapping the 1/8"npt port for the PCV vent in the head in our OTTP manifolds.

after this next weekend I plan on ordering the clutch and flywheel.

 

got the ATI and new front cover mounted last nite

 

Finally ordered my clutch last nite. also scored a stock weight aftermarket LUK flywheel.

ill be mounting that up with the ARP FW/PP bolts

also picked up a set of the new ZZP coils

 

time for an update:

got my LUK flywheel installed with ARP flywheel and pressure plate bolts

I like how you take the extra time to making everything nice and neat.

There are too many turbo builds where parts are just slapped on all sloppy.

 

yeah man I would have all the lines already done but I keep changing my mind on the 45, 90, etc fittings to make routing better.

you should have the engine in the car before you run the lines makes it easier to figure out where to put things

 

John i was referring to the oil feed/drain from turbo

 

spark plugs gapped and torqued, new ZZP coils in place.

Need to torque flywheel and clutch with my ARP bolts

then mate trans and install the Powell Roll Pins

 

Also need to fab mounts for my electric water pump setup, and get the final fittings

 

call arp and get their torque specs on the bolts do not use gm specs and use red loctite

 

almost there man. looking forward to this one.

 

update:

Engine is in, having to replan the location of the EWP mounting but now to get subframe bolted and wiring completed
