Kits are out!

I called my sister, her coworker is the devloper of the cobalt performace parts, she sent me the entire cobalt parts database for upcoming parts, current parts and when new ones will be released. The stage 1 to 2 upgrade shipped last wensday to parts warehouses will be at dealers within 2-3 weeks. stage one kit shipped yesterday will be at dealers in 4-6 weeks Stage 2 kit is shipping next week. However I do not know the public release date for the kits, so in teh next month or so go hound the dealer. If you have any parts questions shoot them at me im going through the database now. There is a 3pod guage pilla coming also from factory. ASwell as a lighting bolt trim kit, I also have a press release to be sent out in 2 weeks by gm i will pm it to any1 that asks, but you must agree to a NDA as it is time sensative material. If you are caught disclosing this to anyone but yourself I will stop providing information before it comes public.

With that said pill my pm box and post as many questions as you have.

*NO I WILL NOT SEND THE DATABASE TO ANYONE*

It is property of general motors, and I obtained use of it by family members, it has not been stolden or what not. Therfore it will not leave my possetion

Nick

I'd assume that stage 0-2 is $750 and 1-2 is $400 and it's just a typo. Thanks for the info.

I'm especially glad to see the 2004 Red Line included.

First, thanks for the info, good to know some of these performance parts will also fit the 2.2L (and I would assume the 2.4L) versions of the Cobalts.

As for the S/C the first picture shown here contradicts the 175hp rating in your post...it clearly states the S/C for the Cavy/Sunfire with part# 17800003 will give "200 hp peak power". Not sure which is correct but a gain of ~55hp would be more acceptable for a price tag of nearly $4000. I'm assuming that's USD so if GMs is only 30hp the RSM S/C kit for the Cobalts comes in at 60hp gains for essentially the same price. I don't know if I could bring myself to spend nearly $4500CAD on 30 hp...that's over $100/hp . As well, no one seems to be 100% positive if this S/C kit will fit the Cobalts or not...I can't imagine if they would that GM wouldn't have mentioned this in the description but here's hoping for any interested in it !

So, the Stage II kit (which would include the injectors and pcm upgrade from stage I) is going to be $750, right? And the stage I (injectors and pcm) will be $400? I'm guessing that this isn't including install?

I figured it out i think... Stage stage 1 and 2 kit is 400 when you buy the stage 2 kit im guessing you can buy stage one for a discount of 400, maybe. Ill have to check with ehr and see tommorrow. Like i said about the 175 hp thing this is exactly what was sent to me, and my sister told me the SEMA show only 50% of the things that are there make production and only about 15% stay as shown there. Its a way to lure you into buying something with the hope of options coming in near future and half the time it never comes out, sadly its true.

NO, they'll never include install thats where they try to rape you.

My question is how are these performance manifolds and cat-back exhausts going to stack up. Like Im talking about hp gain compared to the big name aftermarket parts. im guessing they wont be the best but if they are putting out similar numbers and have warrenty that would be pretty coo.

My guess is that like other stage kits you pay $400 to get stage 2 when you already have stage 1 installed on your car.

First thanks for the info, but how are you going to keep that info from getting out when people from other forums come on here and see this.

Pretty much the only thing an aftermarket exhaust manifold could mess up is the cat, so I wouldn't worry about warranty with a header. There are some nice headers coming out for the car from a couple of different companies so GM has some stiff competition for that product.
