This is cheap and simple, and it just might work. If it doesnt, big deal, ill take it off and put my other valve cover on.
I'm saying the set up you are doing is simple and your are completely over thinking it. Gutting your valve cover is a terrible idea.

Whats so bad about it? Ive never seen it done though to be fair... exploring unexplored territory perhaps

It was just plastic crap panals all gummed up in nasty oil and crusty stuff. All of which will now be properly expelled via the exhaust or a catch can if that doesnt work

Negative vacuum is positive pressure...

What happens now that you gutted the vc is blowby fuel/oil vapors are left to settle into the oil until they build up enough to work their way out of your added hole, instead of being flushed out by the pcv passages you just obliterated.

You asked, and I started to explain. Next thing I know, your vc is gutted.

Good luck. Change your oil every 500 miles to get the fuel out.

Theres a REASON this is "unexplored territory"

Ahhh this is getting good. Gotta agree with Arm and Stage. They have been through the process many times. Go with what works, sometimes there is a reason why things haven't been done. Buy a new valve cover so when you start tuning there are no issue because of "I just wanted to try this out".
