As TStone said, you'll be fine. Different if you went all out on a motor. Look at Infra's motor before he swapped to his 2.1. It's seen 7500+ rpm for years. Bone stock bottom end. Now continuing on in his greyline winter beater that's the same set up as yours.

His bottom end was never apart though and he hasnt messed with the balance shafts i think. But everything checked out ok putting my bottom end back on. The thing is you cant check clearances without destroying a new set of bolts

I dunno I probably need to step out of the V8 box. Sorry just thinking out loud.
I think you misunderstood the direction of question. I am not worried about my bottom end because of the cams, but the balance shaft delete, which was driven off of the crank chain and they were in the block.

Boost does indeed crack pistons lol.

Im not wanting a very aggressive tune, i want to daily drive my car and as long as possible. Yeah i know, we all want the best of both worlds, haha. Luckily the e85 helps to have a safe yet aggressive tune

Bed plate bolts are tty but you can re use them. Especially if your just checking clearance

So are they going to be neutrally balanced now? I really want to do my own build versus letting someone else do it, I have just never worked on a sideways engines. Sorry if I ask a lot of stupid questions, I really just want to learn.

i understand what you were asking now.

4 cyl inline engines have different vibrations than v engines. usually balance shafts (which are actually anti-balance) are used. There are 2 offset shafts that rotate opposite of each other, creating a separate wave that "covers up" the engine vibrations. However in a performance motor these can actually become harmful, not to mention they rob hp that increases exponentially with rpm.

i'm hoping the ati cancels out any 'loss of harmonics' and vibrations caused by deleting them

There's a big difference between vibrations and harmonics.
The only thing the balance shafts do is cancel out large wave feelable vibrations.
It's separate from engine harmonics.

I am a hands on guy, but seeing as no one around here is doing a build, I have no choice but to read, ask questions, and then go from there. My biggest challenge I have faced was running stud mounted roller rockers on a sbf. Typical ford rockers are tq down to spec. Well not the stud mounts. It was my first build. I bet I tore the top end off 6 times, before I finally got them adjusted.

you seem to know enough about how traditional v8 engines work man, as my v8 pals have found out, 4cyls are quite different, but essentially work the same way, just kinda switched around. its been a learning experience for them and will be for you too.

none of what i learned during this struck as too odd though, since i had nothing to compare it to

I have built several V8 engines, so I know the legistics of how they work. I just look at the ecotec and say oh god, what have I done They seem simpler as far as intake, and head removal, vs a V8. I guess I need to get the gm build book, and stick my nose in it.
