Could rotating the engine backwards during the clutch install have unclocked it? Lol

Fixed the cam code, one pin was pushed down.

Its getting spark because it almost starts

I got fuel pressure, spark plugs are soaked in fuel

Unplugged maf sensor and it started for a second.

No codes are popping up except the old a.c. code which doesnt matter.

I fixed my ground which got loose for the start and whatever the other two things were. Im guessing what happened was i hit a bump, it shorted the ground for a split second (it was loose because the nut i got for it doesnt tighten well) and it popped the ignition fuse.

Interesting because this is what happened and i definitely had the code and might be why its been taking a while to start anyway. this happened at the top of 3rd gear. Only wierd thing is i am no longer seeing a code pop up for this, but it even mentions in the post that it doesnt always set the code off

check the ground underneath the oil filter housing. The ones that go to one of the transmission bolts. should be quite a few grounds there. make sure none of them are broken

Thanks, we did try that yesterday with the am sensor unplugged and it wouldnt fire. Then we tried it with just the maf sensor unplugged at it did without having to give it gas but then died instantly.

Planning to redo the cam sensor install as per jeffs instructions just to be safe.

Im thinking 2.5"

Think this may be a/the problem.

Went to replace my crankshaft position sensor, and discovered that the harness right before the plug is frayed and showing wires. Which explains the short circuit or whatever it was code

Gm wants 75 bucks for this 8" harness suck my ass, im gonna fix it myself tonight.

Yeah that harness might be your problem. How are you planning on fixing it?

Replaced sensor and tested that harness with an led, the led lit up so i glued aroubd the exposed area.

Still wont start.

Came up with this code below but its wierd because i relieved fuel pressure at the rail, tried to start, it would start for a split second if i floored the gas then shut off again. I relieved pressure tried again it didnt start then i checked pressure again and it still sprayed.

Wtf

P0230 Chevrolet - Fuel Pump Relay Control Circuit

Possible causes

- Faulty Fuel Pump Relay
- Fuel Pump Relay harness is open or shorted
- Fuel Pump Relay circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
