We can thank Diamond for that as the pistons we ordered never arrived after weeks of hollow promises. In the end I had the Wiseco's sitting there so they got used.
No having said that doesn't these pistons allow for me to run the small pulley? I already have all the other mods.

I am not sure which sizes there are. In metric I believe I have the 80mm. I believe there are two smaller than what I have. If so I would take both of those just to be covered.

There is a 75mm and a 70mm that harrop makes but we can make even smaller if you find you need them.

PM sent.

I think for now the 70 & 75 will be the place to start. I am not sure of the blowers efficiency range before producing to much heat.

box stock motor sans valve train and cams.

rod. you're going to have to run at least a 2.9 pulley to get the torque down low. with the 3.1 pulley i have, which would be a 80mm i believe. you can watch the boost come up slowly, then for some reason at 4500-5k all hell breaks loose and it's game over.

I'm willing to bet it's your cams, I bet stock cams don't act like that.

Rod i have some idle scale numbers for you to run with your car, it'll get you more then on the way.

also, with a huge boost, turbo car CR that you now have,i would toss the smalles pulley i could at that car.

a forged motor with a 8:1 CR is just SCREEEEEMMMMMMMMING for 30psi!

plus, you going to have to run a smaller pulley to cram the air mass down the throat of the motor to make any kinda power outside of ultimate top end.

I'd start your car with a 75mm pulley, get basic tuning done, then go thro OTT and get a 70, or a 65mm pulley and try that, your not going to see the cylinder air mass needed for medium-big power with out mucho boost. that stock intake is gonna cause some issues as well sir.

throwing the smallest pullies on just to get more air flow isn't always the brightest idea, he's gonna run into MAJOR heat issues. FYI.

the tvs doesn't produce as much heat as the m62, he also has a ported head and cams so he has room for the air to flow.

I understand that, but a blower is still gonna create heat. I think we already proved this when people threw a 2.5 pulley on the m62 and now years later, people are proving they can make more power on slightly larger pullies.

It's like a viscious cycle. So I wouldn't think it'd be smart to just throw a 50mm pulley on when he can probably make more power on a 70 or 75mm because of the heat issues that will surface with the tiny 50mm.

Ya with a 2.5 on a m62 the blower is overspun and way out of it efficiency range. Where as the htv isn't over spun with the 2.5 and is still very efficient.

That's the same reason I asked, and I doubt he spent less than 1K. I can see 1K wrapped up in just the gm stage 2, and then another 500-1K wrapped up in the nitrous, and then the other misc. parts.

Sounds like it would cost the same to me. But that's why I asked how much has he spent.

what kind of boost would the tvs push with a 2,5?
