Sounds like it would cost the same to me. But that's why I asked how much has he spent.
His nitrous was cheap, from what I understand he has no safety devices on it.

Depends upon other supporting mods. A completely stock car would prob see close to 35psi. Where as one like rods will prob see about 26 psi.

And the TVS is still happy at those rpms?

Well lets remember 2 things

1) this is my daily driver
2) my luck with modding cars

Having said that bit, I am not looking to push this car to the edge. I will have the other car for the insane power.
I will be happy with fast and mostly reliable (so far it hasn't been cheap ).
While I lose some with the CR, I gain back some with the built engine and TVS/smaller pulley.
I have already got all of the other supporting mods and I prefer to stay out of the transmission blowing power range, if at all possible.

You can run a 2.5 up to 7500 rpm but after that you start to loose efficiency fast. It would take alot to overspin the tvs..

read the whole first post in that thread if you want to know about my car. and the dyno sheets and how hot it was that day and all that other stuff to add into the mix.

hellz yeah. i talked to italianjoe1 on the phone and he ran what i ran for a little bit with no issue's. if he didn't up his shot he would of been fine.

also yeah i run a 22fuel jet so i am running fine knowing i am on my 5th bottle and everything is still ok. i am getting a aem wideband brand new on ebay for $217 shipped http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AEM-G...mZ280242499870

maybe a little bit cheaper once i talk to the guy in messages.

With all the trouble I've been having with my idle (it was a tiny ass vac leak from my bpv. The hose was just small enough to stay on but wasn't small enough to fully seal) I never paid attention to the tune from the local shop when I was testing the car. I did some fine tuning today and realized I was at 11* timing..... So I bumped it up to 18* and the motor loves it! Torque steers like a bitch and scared my fiance a bit

Way to go with the TVS Bryan.

Lol , but it's always there, and doesn't need to be refilled. BTW Did you ever get the SAE numbers from your dyno pulls?

I think once the trans is back in im throwing a shot on the car to quiet down the nitrous fanbois. Might even take it to a normal dyno to really hurt there feelnigs

The way this car acts at the track something will always break, last time it was a roll pin shift to third

the bonus thing about this pulley size and cams is the low end lack of torque. less chance of spinning out of the hole at the track. middle of second and third. all bets are off
