LSJ-T Swapped Cav Build

So I have been asked to post the build process up by a few people. Wasn't going to post because it is not a cobalt. Here it is. It will be a slow going project mainly due to the fact that I have a full time job two kids a side business and only a couple hours a day to work on it. Questions comments flamming welcome.

Here is the donor car a 2006 SS that was rolled

Anyone know what injectors these are Yellow is Accel 32 Are they 32 lbs/hr? Green is Siemens and has a number on it of 12790B27 but cant find anything on them.

Still have a few things that need to be figured out. I have to figure out what to do about starting the car. What things in the harness can be eliminated, I need to find a intake manifold to use the stock lsj throttle body. and Im sure some other things I haven't thought of yet. The car is not a daily driver it will see little road and a lot of track time.

I am using the whole wiring from the cobalt, but there are things from the cobalt that will not work in the cavalier. The steering column being one of them will not fit without a ton of modification it was much easier to modify a couple other things to fit the j.

Here are a couple parts that have shown up the last couple days

Just waiting on the BSD bushings to show up they just shipped today, once they are in the motor will get buttoned up and dropped in. After that start hooking everything up and get the trans in place. Still have some parts I know I need to purchase, I need to do something for an intake manifold, injectors, and also have to figure out MAF sensor location and get the tubing for it.

And here is the cobalt fans modified to fit the cavs griffen radiator

Cool build. The injectors in question are the stock LSJ injectors (as Mrbelvedere mentioned).

I don't believe you can just block off the oil cooler. Mr. B or someone who knows for sure should chime in

I think Mr b made that adapter plate to run a aftermarket oil cooler elsewhere like behind the grill

He does, I've installed one. But it doesnt block it off, it becomes a larger flow through

Finally have had a chance to get some work done on the car. I have been so busy lately with customer cars and life in general. Progress on the car will be slowing down a littlw just watching my cash flow with just having purchased my wife a new car. (2015 ford fusion ecoboost) which will be modded when the warrenty is up. But in the meantime here is a shot of the progress in the past couple days. My only thing im not sure of is what to do in place of the vents. There is no heating or cooling in the car anyone have some good ideas?

this is great on so many levels. Glad to see people still being innovative for one. Second I have love for cavaliers that no one but my friends who have owned one seems to understand. Three combining the motor with the lsj body = sex!

cant wait to see this thing when done!
