M90 Swap
M90 Swap
Ive now decided to save up for an M90 w/ a 2.7" pulley swap to keep ahead of the game wit these turbo balts. I have a few q's tho. The 2.7" pulley (for the M90) will not be overspining the supercharger correct. Also is it a matter of unbolting the m62 & bolting the m90 on and then its just a matter of tuning the pcm from there correct. And last can I use my aftermarket Injen CAI along with this as well. Any answers would help me.
For any1 who says the blower will not fit they are way wrong. I already took a pro baseball & put it on top of the supercharger closed the hood & everything was fine. So for those of u who think the m90 is 2-3" taller than the m62 do this test & u will only prove yourself wrong.

I'm pretty sure no one has made it work really.. Also it has a higher parasitic loss than the M62 and flows only marginally more air. also with our redine, you'll be way over spinning the m90 with a 2.7 pulley

For the money you are gonna spend to make it work right you could probably almost get a turbo kit.
The M90 will probably generate more heat than the M62 as well. Along with the extra power needed to spin it and the decrease in efficency, your not going to make much more power, if any at all. I think it is going to be a waste of time and money.
Ok I have a Question now their's a guy at my work who has an extra m90 that he runs on his thunder bird, and he said I can have his if I wanted and he'd port it any etc., now with this adapter plate you guys are speaking about cant you get an adapter plate that is just not as thick, and how cant you get more power out of an m90 then a m62, and if it over spins with a 2.7 pulley then go a little higher with it so you dont over spin it, I just dont see how it wouldn't make more power, it would have to make more boost then what the m62 is making right...?
Anyone know anything I know Onyx was trying this build and I wanna know if he was successful, a little help....

save up money, get ur self proper fuel system and cooling mods, like the dual pass and heat exchanger, and a whipple 1.6 will be available ina few months so u can adapt to ur car, or get the tvs that is a direct bolt on, no custom stuff.
It makes no sense to swap roots blowers especially with the cost associated and little increase in power...hate to say it but you're only going to get big power with a turbo conversion and even then you need to build the engine and swap a lot of other things (axles, clutch) to make it durable.
Proper fuel system meaning bigger throttle body, and/or Injectors?
fuel, throttle body is not part of fuel, if u want to upgrade to an LS4 throttle body go ahead, it will alow some more air flow. but ur main concern if u want to swap s/c is fuel and cooling. Over the top performance has a nice return style fuel system, that is a must for supercharger swaps.

Yeah but isnt it a little far to say that making that swap will make little increase in power if no one has even took the time to put a m90 on they're car I mean everyone is just going off of predictaments and not straight up "hey I did it" facts. I dont think anyone will know if they dont do it, and I am still gonna research a little more into this I wanna hear from Onyx on how it went for him.

Pfft... Lol are you serious? wow never heard about that.... wow **** lol

Ill have to look into that then, I undrstand that the throttle body thing but I assumed that because it seems everyone states that we should get a bigger throttle body when ever we decide in the near future to do a supercharger swap. But what about injectors, go bigger I assume?
